This is going to be my first notes post on this website. Why now? Well, this week I attended my first Indie WebClub Bangalore. Writing this while sitting in Underline Center.

Work

Did some Rust update CI work for GStreamer repositories as Rust 1.99.1 got released.

Realised that I had broken the Rust plugins repository with my work on migrating to aws-lc-rs. Somehow missed that this also required an update to AWS BehaviorVersion.

I couldn't attend the GStreamer Conference and hackfest this year in Prague. For the hackfest, I decided to continue working on Media over QUIC. Had started working on it in 2024 when I was still @ asymptotic. It has undergone quite a lot of change since I first started working on it. There is also a MoQ publisher now in addition to the subscriber, and for the last few months I have been working on moving from CMAF to Low Overhead Container, along with an assortment of protocol- and timestamp-related improvements.

Travel

I was in Hyderabad for 3 days last week. Met an ex-colleague and a friend from college days. As a foodie, a trip to Hyderabad would be incomplete without the food. For a meat lover, Hyderabad can be a paradise. Had some amazing kebabs and biryani at The Nawaab's. The food here alone made the trip to Hyderabad worth it. I know the old town places are more highly regarded and talked about, but not my cup of tea.

Shopping Dilemma

There is a sale going on at Headphone Zone, and I am torn between getting a S12 Ultra (do not have any planar IEMs) or buying a Truthear Hexa again because it's that good and there are very few neutral IEMs around.

Weekend

It was fun being here for Indie WebClub. Spoke to Fenil, Yash, Harsh, Abhinav and Tanvi for a bit at the meetup.

Of course, I am in Indiranagar, and I always have some vested interests while travelling. Of course, it's about food again. A new coffee shop called Kura recently opened up and I am planning to visit it after this :). While I am not someone who enjoys sweets in general, I am craving some Vanilla Cheesecake and Tres Leches from Magnolia Bakery.
